Deputy Director: Legal Services (12-month contract post) (Ref #: OHSC 11/2021)
Salary: An all-inclusive salary package of R869 007 per annum (basic salary consists of 70% or 76% of the total package, States contribution to the Government Employee Pension Fund (13% of basic salary) and a flexible portion). The flexible portion can be structured according to OHSC guidelines
Requirements:
A four-year bachelor’s degree in the legal field.
At least 5 years’ experience in a legal environment which must include legislative and contract drafting.
Must be an admitted Attorney or Advocate.
Experience in board support in the public/health or social services/regulatory environment would be an added advantage.
Analytical and innovative thinking skills.
Good judgement, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Planning, organising and networking skills.
Computer skills in MS office.
A valid driver’s licence.
Duties:
Draft, edit and amend contracts, service level agreements and memoranda of
understanding in line with the OHSC policies and procedures.
Conduct legal analysis and research with regards to legal matters pertaining to the OHSC.
Provide assistance in managing litigation by and against the OHSC.
Assist the Board Secretary with legal advice and board secretarial duties including the drafting of minutes.
