Deputy Director: Data Analytics (Ref #: OHSC 2/2026)
Salary: An all-inclusive salary package of R 1, 059, 105 per annum (all-inclusive package) (basic salary consists of 70% or 76% of the total package, OHSC’s contribution to the Government Employee Pension Fund (13% of basic salary) and a flexible portion). The flexible portion can be structured according to OHSC guidelines.
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, Actuarial Sciences, Epidemiology, Monitoring and Evaluation or Health Sciences field. A minimum of (5) years’ experience in health care research, three (3) of which must have been at a junior management or equivalent level. Analytical and interpretive skills. Good judgement, problem solving and conflict handling skills. Advanced computer skills and experience in using STATA, SAS or SPSS Statistical software. A valid driver’s licence.
Advantages: A Postgraduate qualification in any of the abovementioned fields would be an advantage.
Duties:
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the OHSC strategic information management unit. Support and contribute to data collection, analysis and management of activities of the OHSC. Support and contribute to the development and implementation of monitoring and reporting plans. Assist with ministerial and parliamentary communications, correspondence and submissions.
