Deputy Director: Data Analytics (12-month contract post) (Ref #: OHSC 17/2021)

Salary: An all-inclusive salary package of R869 007 per annum (basic salary consists of 70% or 76% of the total package, States contribution to the Government Employee Pension Fund (13% of basic salary) and a flexible portion). The flexible portion can be structured according to OHSC guidelines.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, Actuarial Sciences, Epidemiology, Monitoring and Evaluation or Health Sciences field.

At least five (5) years experience in health care research, three (3) of which must have been at a junior management or equivalent level.

A post-graduate qualification in the above-mentioned field would be an advantage.

Analytical and interpretive skills.

Good judgment, problem solving and conflict handling skills.

Advanced computer skills and experience in using STATA, SAS or SPSS Statistical software.

Duties:

Contribute to the development and maintenance of the OHSC strategic information management unit.

Support and contribute to data collection, analysis and management of activities of the OHSC.

Support and contribute to the development and implementation of monitoring and reporting plans.

Assist with ministerial and parliamentary communications, correspondence and submissions.
