DEPUTY DIRECTOR: COMPLAINTS ASSESSMENT (Ref #: (OHSC 7/2019))

Salary: An all-inclusive salary package of R869 007 per annum (basic salary consists of 70% or 76% of the total package, States contribution to the Government Employee Pension Fund (13% of basic salary) and a flexible portion). The flexible portion can be structured according to OHSC guidelines.

Requirements:

-A relevant 3-year tertiary or equivalent qualification in Health Sciences.

-Current registration with relevant professional body/council.

-A Certificate in Total Quality Management, Customer Care or Complaints Management will serve as an advantage.

-At least 5 years experience in the healthcare field of which 3 years should have been at a junior management level.

-Excellent communication and conflict handling skills.

-Willingness to work outside of normal working hours.

-Computer, report writing, judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Duties:

-Contribute to the development of the OHSC complaints handling and assessment framework/strategy, policies, standard operating procedures, and guidelines.

-Oversee the screening/assessment and resolution of complaints.

-Coordinate and report on business unit human resources capacity, capability and performance management.

-Administer and compile reports relating to complaints needing urgent response and referral to other bodies, entities or
regulatory bodies.

-Coordinate and report on the business unit plans and budget management.
