ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: INSPECTIONS (Ref #: (REF NO: OHSC 8/2019))

Salary: SALARY: R470 040 per annum (plus applicable benefits)

Requirements:

A degree or diploma in the health sciences field.

Current registration with the relevant regulatory body/council.

A post basic qualification in one of the following:

  • Critical care
  • child nursing
  • health assessment treatment and care
  • advanced midwifery and neonatal care
  • psychiatry or operating theater and trauma nursing service.

-A minimum of 5 years of experience in direct patient care (PHC and/or Hospital care).

-Experience in training of health care professionals and management would be an added advantage.

-Good communication (written and verbal) and computer skills.

-Must be prepared to travel extensively and work after hours and will also be required to undergo certification and accreditation as an Inspector.

-A valid driver’s license.

Duties:

-Planning for inspections and re-inspections.

-Conduct inspections at health establishments.

-Compile inspection reports.

-Validate and complete inspection reports and recommendations.

-Participate in training and contribute to development and evaluation.

-Manage and account for the use of resources.

-Manage and mitigate risks.
