Assistant Director: Compliance Inspectorate (Ref #: OHSC 9/2026)
Salary: R 582 444 per annum (plus applicable benefits)
Requirements:
A three-year bachelor’s degree or diploma in the health sciences field. Current practicing registration certificate with the relevant body/council. At least five (5) years’ experience in health care services, direct patient care, quality assurance/improvement and/or inspection processes. Must have an understanding and knowledge of the inspection of health facilities. At least 6-12 months’ experience in conduction of inspections will be an advantage. Supervisory experience will be an added advantage. Skills required: computer literacy (word, excel and PowerPoint), report writing, problem-solving, decision making and good communication skills (written and verbal) as well as conflict resolution. Must be prepared to travel extensively and very frequently and willingness to work outside the normal working hours. A valid driver’s license.
Duties:
Planning for inspections and re-inspections. Conduct inspections and re-inspection visits to health establishments. Validate and complete inspection reports and recommendations. Participate in the orientation and training of other employees. Manage and account for the use of resources. Manage and mitigate risks.
