Assistant Director: Complaints Centre (Team Leader) (Ref #: OHSC 12/2021)
Salary: R 470 040 per annum (plus applicable benefits)
Requirements:
A three-year tertiary qualification in the Health Sciences field.
Current registration with relevant professional council.
Proficiency in more than two African languages.
A Certificate in Total Quality Management, Customer Service, or Call Centre will serve as an advantage.
At least 5 years’ experience in direct patient care of which 2 years must be demonstrable experience in managing healthcare complaints.
Excellent communication and conflict/complaint handling, MS Microsoft (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and report writing skills.
Willingness to work outside of normal working hours
Duties:
Manage the activities of the complaints centre and its resources.
Supervise the receipt and registration of all complaints or enquiries in the Call Centre.
Provide guidance or advice to Complaints Officers in relation to effective complaints management protocols.
Administer complaints needing urgent response from OHO or those needing referral to other bodies.
Follow-up with complainants and health establishments to obtain additional
information or to monitor and record resolutions.
Produce reports on all complaints data.
